Mission: Improve Quality, Reduce Costs, Do More Business, Be Profitable, Stay in Business.
CHOOSE TO BE EXTRAORDINARY. Your Career Starts Here.
Every team member that joins Ashley contributes to the foundation that makes our company strong. Your expertise directly impacts the families we serve by building a workforce dedicated to Ashley's core values. Our people are the most important foundation of our company, and we strive to help our associates reach their best version of themselves throughout their careers with us. Your Potential Impact: Ashley Distribution Services keeps our company moving. From the open road to the fleet garage, our teams ensure that products reach our customers safely and on time. Join a community dedicated to safety, efficiency, and excellence in logistics.
Areas of Focus We are looking for passionate individuals across three primary areas:
Transportation:
  • Truckload: Drivers transport goods that fill an entire trailer, typically traveling longer distances between single pickup and delivery locations without intermediate stops.
  • Less Than Load: LTL drivers handle partial loads from multiple shippers, making several stops for pickups and deliveries along planned routes to consolidate freight efficiently.
  • PTP: The PTP Ambassador operates as an over-the-road (OTR) driver with a primarily regional focus but will cross regional boundaries as operational needs require. The PTP driver transports furniture loads from the distribution center to the drop lot, may make direct deliveries to customer unload accounts, and completes plant transfers. In addition, the driver picks up and delivers backhauls, and plant pickups at both drop-and-hook and live load/unload accounts.
  • Shuttle Driver: Shuttle drivers perform short-haul transfer between nearby facilities, such as distribution centers, retail stores, or rail yards, often completing multiple round trips per shift.
  • Flex Driver: Flex is a hybrid role. It's a combination of shuttle, PTP, and LTL. The Flex Ambassador fills in when drivers are on time off, experiencing delays, or when there are high customer volumes in a region. This means you can work either OTR (traveling up to a 1,500-mile radius of your domicile location) or locally (home daily), depending on fleet needs.
  • Student Driver: A student driver is an entry-level CDL trainee in our Ashley Ambassador program who is learning professional driving skills under the supervision of experienced instructors and Ashley drivers, with the goal of becoming a safe, qualified driver for our Ashley fleet.

Operations:
  • Safety: Safety associates at Ashley protect our most valuable asset-our people. You'll develop and implement safety programs, conduct training, and create a culture where every team member goes home safely every day.
  • Fleet Operations: Associates manage and optimize Ashley's vehicle fleet to ensure efficient, cost-effective transportation of products. You'll oversee fleet performance, coordinate logistics, and implement strategies that keep our delivery operations running smoothly.
  • Driver Operations: Associates are the face of Ashley on the road, safely delivering quality furniture to customers across the country. You'll play a critical role in our supply chain while providing excellent customer service at every delivery.
  • Fleet Maintenance: Fleet maintenance technicians diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on all fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with DOT regulations.

Warehouse:
  • Shipping: Warehouse associates load outgoing furniture onto delivery trucks for shipment.
  • Receiving: Warehouse associates unload incoming furniture, move it to the correct locations within the warehouse.
  • Line Clearing: Line clearing warehouse associates move packed furniture from production or packing areas into the correct storage locations within the warehouse to keep lines flowing and inventory organized.
  • E-Commerce: Create seamless digital experiences that connect guests to our brand through intuitive journeys that perform at scale.
