From its headquarters in Medina, Ohio, and additional distribution and manufacturing facilities in Arizona, Texas, Florida and Wisconsin, Nelsen serves professional dealers in the United States and worldwide.

Nelsen Corporation is seeking a collaborative, driven Operations Manager to lead our Madison, WI warehouse operations for many more successful years of business.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

Pay: From $65,000 per year; pay commensurate with experience and skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, which include the following:

Branch Performance Oversight

  • Responsible for the performance of all Operationally-based Branch functions (including but not limited to safety, processing and shipment of all orders, operational budget, on-time shipping, quality, and facility maintenance)
  • Constantly evaluate all aspects of Operations in order to foster a culture of Continuous Improvement

Team Management

  • Oversee Warehouse and Production Team(s) to ensure proper procedures, order accuracy, and safety standards
  • Maintain and monitor staffing and scheduling levels
  • Analyze and organize workflow for maximum efficiency
  • Provide training and development along with clear communication of performance expectations and goals

Logistics and Inventory Management

  • Ensure proper shipping methods are used and product is quality checked, packed, and labeled appropriately
  • Coordinate receiving and timely storage and rotation of materials
  • Transport materials throughout the warehouse using hand truck, forklift, or other equipment
  • Oversee inventory cycle counts and resolve discrepancies
  • Investigate and if appropriate provide a root cause and corrective action for large inventory variances
  • Investigate and resolve shipping and damaged product issues

Process Orders (as needed)

  • Use software system/pick ticket to pull items to fulfill customer’s order
  • Properly pack items for shipment or stage for Production assembly
  • Assemble units according to the Build of Material (BOM)

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assign and inspect routine housekeeping and maintenance duties
  • Monitor cleanliness and working condition of all material handling equipment; ensure necessary maintenance and repairs are made
  • Observe operations for safety standards, immediately correcting unsafe conditions
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Education and Experience

  • 3+ years of Warehouse, Shipping and Safety experience in a leadership role
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of a Warehouse Management System
  • Experience with Production/ Assembly
