Position Description:

Maplefields is growing and looking for great leaders to join our team!  With many locations throughout Vermont, Northern New York and Northern New Hampshire, there may be a place for you as a Store Manager.  Location and store distribution may be flexible.  Many other positions also available.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
•    Oversee day-to-day store operations including scheduling, training, supervising staff at their designated location.
•    Recruit, hire, train and motivate positive individuals to become team members and managers.
•    Develop people for key positions including Assistant Manager, Food Service Coordinator, Manager in Training.
•    Work to manage inventory to maximize sales, control costs and reduce waste.
•    Oversee cash balancing and accounting procedures.
•    Work to understand store profit drivers and controllable expenses including labor and cash/inventory variances.
•    Develop business strategies to raise our customer pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability.
•    Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff.
•    Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service.
•    Provide store oversight to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
•    Provide store oversight to maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
•    Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths.
•    Resolve customer complaints in a positive manner utilizing office and other management support staff when necessary.
•    Work to resolve any staff member matters in a timely and professional manner. Utilize office and management support staff when necessary.
•    Implement and enforce daily operating procedures to ensure store cleanliness standards are met, as well as food safety standards.
•    Determine and support proper staffing to support needs of a 24/7 business.
•    Follow merchandising and vendor policies/procedures and ensure that all staff members do the same. Ensure all merchandise is stocked and rotated, displays are attractive and priced correctly. Communicate any problems with merchandise pricing to the Price book and Marketing Departments.
•    Have the ability, availability and flexibility to perform established expectations of a staff member regularly, including covering shifts when necessary to ensure smooth store operation.
•    Maintain the ability to adapt to ever-changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
•    Be a shining example of well behavior, efficiency and high performance.
•    Additional store manager duties as needed.

Availability:
As a Store Manager, you are responsible for all aspects of the business for your location.  You must have the ability to respond to critical issues and coordinate critical business activities at any time.  With a well-trained team, a Store Manager's should primarily work during normal business hours.

This position requires self-provided transportation for limited business functions.
