Summary
Reporting to the Services and Solutions Director, the Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing pricing strategies, analytics, and margin optimization, collaborating cross-functionally, improving pricing processes, and supporting leadership decisions, requiring 2-4 years of experience and strong analytical skills, with success measured by margin improvement, reduced manual work, and enhanced pricing governance.
Major responsibilities include:
  • Develop and recommend pricing strategies across: Product categories, Customer segments, Contract and program structures
  • Evaluate trade-offs between: Margin optimization, Competitive positioning, Customer retention and growth
  • Support pricing decision-making for: Strategic customers, High-revenue opportunities, Complex pricing scenarios

End-to-End Margin Management
  • Analyze and manage all components of margin, including, but not limited to: Product cost (PO, average, FBC), Freight programs and charges, Manufacturer rebates and incentives, Discount lists and contract pricing
  • Create a consolidated view of margin performance across systems and pricing levers
  • Identify and quantify: Margin leakage, Cost-to-serve variation

Pricing Process Improvement
  • Identify root causes: credits/rebills, manual corrections, and drive initiatives to reduce rework.
  • Support/backup the contract pricing team, participating in price list processing during times of high-volume pricing updates

Data & Pricing Analytics Infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain tools and models that:
  • Improve pricing visibility
  • Enable consistent decision-making

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field and 2-4+ years of related experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and analytical tools, including:
  • Financial modeling
  • Data analysis and large dataset manipulation
  • Scenario modeling
  • Data visualization and dashboard development (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools)
  • Strong project management skills - identifies, guides, and follows up to ensure timely and accurate task completion
  • Effective communication skills - able to communicate to leadership, programmers, and the sales team in an understanding, patient manner
