Cost Accounting Manager
Location: Remote (US) | Hybrid with approximately 10% onsite in Winona, MN
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cost accounting and inventory management across manufactured and distributed product lines
  • Manage month-end close activities including inventory, COGS, reconciliations, and financial reporting support
  • Analyze product profitability, margins, inventory performance, and cost variances
  • Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve costing accuracy and resolve inventory issues
  • Drive ERP enhancements, reporting automation, and process documentation initiatives
  • Lead and mentor team members while establishing performance expectations and operational excellence
Essential Qualifications
  • 5+ years of cost accounting experience within manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-intensive environments
  • Strong knowledge of inventory valuation, standard costing, actual costing, and US GAAP
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite; Navision and AS400 experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, financial analysis, and reporting automation
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or Certified Cost Accountant designation preferred
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with both financial and operational stakeholders
