Job Posting:
The Distribution Center Management Trainee is to learn all aspects of the distribution center while rotating to various departments providing leadership and supervision of employees. Will learn all Distribution procedures, processes, equipment and systems.
Responsibilities
  • Rotates between various departments learning all functions in the distribution center
  • Acquires in-depth and a complete knowledge of the workflow within the distribution center.
  • Follows a logical program from receipt of product in the DC, receipt of customer orders to the shipment of product to our customers.
  • Will be required to answer specific questions about each functional area in the distribution center to ensure understanding of all processes.
  • Works with Engineering and Distribution Management to develop knowledge of training principles, methods, and work measurement.
  • Develops an understanding and firsthand knowledge of the different operations performed in the distribution center.
  • Become familiar with policies and procedures within the distribution center
  • Become familiar with Kontoor's safety structure and policies
  • Completes special projects as assigned by management
  • Will be required to perform various warehouse processes during the training period and required to learn the expectations of all warehouse operations.
  • Will be key personnel in implementation of new warehouse systems.

Relocation Requirement
Upon completion of the training program, candidates must be willing to relocate to any Distribution Center within the company's U.S. footprint, including locations in Seminole, OK; Hackleburg, AL; El Paso, TX; and Luray, VA.
Qualifications
  • Years of Related Work Experience: 0-2 Years
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering Required.
  • Must be authorized to work legally in the United States.
  • Must be willing to relocate to any Kontoor location in the U.S.
  • Must be willing to work both day shift and night shift when required.

Skills
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Power Point)
  • Strong Communication Skills (Oral, Written, Presentation)
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to communicate with employees at all levels
  • Strong Analytical ability
  • Required English Overall Proficiency
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

Typical Working Conditions
May work around equipment, such as conveyors and rolling stock, which could contain hazards. Other exposures found in a distribution center such as high level of noise and dust may exist for this position.
