Job description

Distribution Specialist

As a Distribution Specialist, you would follow standard company procedures, state compliance laws, and safety requirements while delivering orders to dispensaries in a timely and efficient manner. The Delivery Specialist role is a physical, fast-paced position that involves continual lifting, lowering, and carrying of packages that may weigh a minimum of 50 lbs. Under tight deadlines, our Delivery Specialist safely operates cargo vans and climbs in and out of a vehicle.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the accuracy of orders going out and staying compliant with state regulations
  • Load van with the daily product to be sold as well as unload product for the customer
  • Perform routine inspection of company vehicles and supplies to ensure road safety
  • Maintain inventory of daily merchandise loaded on the van
  • Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures and state compliance if the Compliance Admin is not able to be reached
  • Ensure that manifests are complete and accurate
  • Review routes that are generated by the Compliance Administrator: in case of no available admin you will be responsible for routing your deliveries
  • Handling routine customer problems and serving as an interface between the company and the customer, relaying any issues in an end-of-shift report
  • Ensuring that product distribution is accomplished to customer satisfaction in agreement with any contract terms and requirements
  • Working closely with the manager and salesperson to improve route efficiency and expand existing customer relationships
  • Operation of vehicles in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as local, state, and other federal requirements
  • Maintenance of acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Safeguards and maintains company equipment and property, including Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Ensures all areas are kept clean at all times
  • Attends all company training sessions; and other production duties as assigned
  • Merchandising case packs from the backroom to the sales floor (if granted permission by the dispensary)
  • Filling display units or shelves with products Rotating products and removing defective and out-of-date products
  • Tidying up shelves and displays, knocking down boxes, and disposing of any waste
  • Assist in the assembling and disassembling of promotional materials such as signs, banners, and cardboard displays
  • Report stocks inventory, account issues, or positive feedback given by the dispensary
  • Willing to help Production team during off-time of deliveries when hours are needed:
  • Ensure all production manufacturing processes are followed according to prescribed SOPs while also identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies
  • Prepares and adheres labels to each package; verifies that labels for finished packages conform to State regulations
  • Prepare material for production, processing, and assembling cannabis and materials, weighing it on a certified scale to the exact weight and placing the product in appropriate bins/bags/storage
  • Maintains the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation inside the processing area and participates in the clean-up of equipment and the workplace at the end of every day
  • Assists the Production team with daily activities of assigned shifts and helps with tasks as delegated by the Lead or Manager
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations

  • Must consent to a criminal background check performed by the Company and/or the State Department of Health Services

  • These vans have cameras and drivers will be filmed as well as merchandise covered for the safety of the vehicles and our drivers. This is also a requirement of our insurance in covering our drivers.
