Distribution Designer/Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking Junior to Mid-Level Distribution Designers/Engineers for utility-scale projects focused on distribution. This position will be based in Orlando and will contribute to the Distribution Team supporting power utility infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support utility-scale distribution projects including transformer replacements and retrofits.
  • Collaborate with the team on Transformer Retrofit and Reconductoring projects.
  • Utilize proprietary software such as Maximo and BOUD for project tasks.
  • Engage in design and drafting using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Ensure compliance with power delivery and utility design standards.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Experience in distribution design and electrical engineering.
  • Knowledge of power delivery, utility design, and high voltage systems.
  • Understanding of the power grid and its components.
  • Strong communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of distribution design experience.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
  • Experience with drafting and GIS is a plus.
  • Mechanical and construction knowledge is beneficial.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
