Job Description
The Manager, Distribution maximizes Starz Entertainment (STE) subscribers and revenue through collaborative implementation of partnership marketing campaigns and strategic initiatives, coordinating and delivering on base elements of campaigns. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills, as well as the ability to analyze marketing and sales data to develop insights and make innovative recommendations leading to increased revenue and subscribers. The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to execute on multiple projects, working both independently and with a team. The role is customer facing and requires a diligence in follow through, communication internally and externally as well as a keen sense of customer relationships and how they impact the larger distribution team.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Vice President, Distribution to assist in the development and analysis of marketing plans and sales initiatives to ensure revenue and subscriber growth and expansion of company products and/or services with distribution partners (MVPDs, vMVPD, OTT and/or Mobile).
  • Contributes to strategic initiatives that support contract negotiations, agreements and renewals.
  • Develop and implement marketing and sales channel initiatives for the promotion of STE services and Original Programming resulting in increased sales volume, subscriber retention and revenue growth.
  • Oversee creative development for all assets utilized by partners to promote STARZ across their various sales channels and platforms; manage curation and distribution of assets to affiliate teams.
  • Lead development of training message for all sales channels. Ensure consistent messaging and train team members who will deliver the messaging with point-of-sale personnel
  • Establish and nurture relationships with affiliate partners including marketing, operations, and sales channel stakeholders. Understand key objectives, challenges and opportunities for STE within affiliate business units to facilitate the advancement of STE objectives and initiatives.
  • Maintain constant awareness of the status of all projects, including anticipating needs and conflicts that unexpectedly evolve.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills with affiliates through ongoing communication, presentations, weekly meetings and quarterly business reviews.
  • Secure optimal placement for STARZ in partner marketing tactics. Review partner creative, manage internal routing and communicate changes when needed.
  • Manage product launches on existing, emerging and evolving media platforms.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing projects and make recommendations for improvements and better results.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing preferred.
  • Five years related experience; and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in cable, OTT, satellite, telecommunications or entertainment industry a plus.
  • Minimum two year's experience in a client-facing role.
  • High attention to detail and can effectively review Distributor created materials and clearly communicate feedback.
  • Account service oriented - high level of responsiveness is expected. Strong relationship building and maintaining skill set required.
  • Understand Industry/competitive environment and be knowledgeable of distribution goals and product packaging.
  • Proficiency to be strategic, manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Client services, project management, agency experience.
  • Proven communication skills - oral, written and presentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides). Also experienced in Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Comfortable learning proprietary software solutions and leveraging new technologies, including AI tools, to optimize workflows.
