Job Description
We are looking for a Distribution Center Lead to join our Rexel team in Carrollton, TX!
Summary:
The Distribution Center Lead is responsible for helping supervise and perform other aspects of their department to facilitate workflow. In the absence of the Distribution Center Supervisor or Distribution Center Assistant Supervisor, will be responsible for overseeing aspects of the department. Acts as a team lead to a small group of employees generally focused on a limited task.
What You'll Do:
  • Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment. Assume responsibility for immediately addressing safety concerns
  • Assist in leading, training, and coordinating work including delivery scheduling, inbound and outbound processes, safety requirements, and special customer requirements
  • In the absence of the Distribution Center Supervisor or Distribution Center Assistant Supervisor, will be responsible for overseeing aspects of the department
  • Must know all department functions and processes
  • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment, maintaining the security of the Distribution Center and accurate inventory
  • Ensure inbound and/or outbound shipments and products are accurate and free of damage
  • Ensure that jobs are correctly implemented, assigned effectively, and completed properly
  • Assist in maintenance and security of the Distribution Center
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What You'll Need
  • 4+ years of distribution center or warehouse experience
  • Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment preferred
  • High School or GED - Preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements
  • Ability to resolve complex issues and problems
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of subject manner
  • Ability to lead and train
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to accurately complete job tasks
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to safely operate various types of material handling equipment
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
