POSITION INFO:

POSITION TITLE: Distribution Manager
DEPARTMENT/CATEGORY: Distribution
JOB TYPE:  Salary Exempt Level 2 or 3
Reports To: Vice President,  Fittings Manufacturing, Distribution & Transportation            
LOCATION: Buena Vista, Virginia Distribution Center  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

   Meet with shift leads to coordinate warehouse activities to ensure safe and accurate receiving and shipping of product.
   Supervise administrative and order process management, maintain open communication between office and customer service and warehouse floor.
   Develop and maintain systems to measure order fulfillment, accuracy and shipment timeliness.  Provide various accuracy and production reports using SAP and BI information.
   Train and supervise associates to properly, safely and efficiently perform their jobs.
   Scheduling of personnel, equipment and services.
   Ensures product is shipped and handled with the highest quality standards while achieving maximum productivity.
   Compliance to NIBCO safety, OSHA, environmental and quality programs.  Enforce good safety practices by conducting meetings, training, promoting accident preventions and enforcing safety.  Actively working to maintain VPP Status.
   ISO Document Administrator
   Analyze operating capabilities in relation to receiving, storage, repackaging and shipping, making recommendations for change as appropriate. 

EXPERIENCE:

 7+ years' experience in distribution/logistics.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

TRAINING AND SKILLS:

 Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, WebEx, Cloud, and SAP preferred.  Strong communication skills and quality focus.
