About Our Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic III to work in the Blairs Distribution Center, 1st shift . The Maintenance Mechanic III performs preventive maintenance, general maintenance, and repair work to maintain and enhance machines and equipment of a warehouse operation.

Responsibilities

  • Performs the installation, preventative maintenance and operational efficiency of all equipment associated within the facility.
  • Completes daily reports of all work performed, noting down time on sheets.
  • Completes daily reports of all parts consumed in performing maintenance, repairs, requests, and projects.
  • Recommends measures to improve the departmental production/maintenance program.
  • Assists as needed in general warehouse operations and upkeep of property to maintain facility and projects.
  • Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others, and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
  • A commitment to company-wide quality and safety is required.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Ability to understand Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

  • Ability to comprehend drawings, equipment manuals, documents, etc. and to apply knowledge and skills necessary to maintain equipment and facilities efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate with management and coworkers in order to meet departmental goals.
  • Strong computer skills required, including proficiency in MS Office Products (*many manuals and procedures are computer based. - CMMS, MP2* )
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret related documents.
  • Excellent follow-up and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Continued education preferred.
  • Associates or certificate in Industrial mechanics/electrical is desired.
  • Three plus years Industrial Mechanical/Electrical experience preferred.
  • General welding skills in stick, TIG, and MIG applications, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and electrical control wiring required
  • Journeyman’s License preferred but not required
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Pay

  • We offer competitive pay based on job-related skills, experience, relevant education, training, and geographic location.
  • The starting hourly pay rate is $22.47.
  • Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, the Company’s compensation guidelines, and business needs.
