The Job:

As a Distribution Supervisor, you'll be part of our Jackson team working as an on-site employee. You'll get to:

  • Ensure safety of employees via active safety culture management, policy enforcement, and assisting in developing improvements to our business
  • Maintain a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the department's mission in an effective and efficient manner
  • Plan and coordinate work by performing time studies, cost analysis, or other means as necessary
  • Trains and motivates; monitors and evaluates performance of associates in the department
  • Ensures our associates ability to safely operatematerial handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations
  • Team member engagement. Effectively build relationships and trust with the team to successfully execute daily/weekly/monthly goals.
  • Develops Team Leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned associates
  • Monitors, measures, and documents department performance for cost, labor, and productivity requirements
  • Working with the Human Resources Department, select employees through the normal hiring process, consistently administer policies and procedures as applicable, monitor employee performance/attendance/time, resolve associate relation issues, coach and counsel for improvement and apply discipline consistently where necessary up to and including termination of employment.

  • Bachelor's degree Preferred; minimum requirement of associate's degree.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with inventory or warehouse software, databases, and other systems including SAP and WMS, preferred
