Job description

Lupton Petroleum Products, Inc (LPPI) currently has an opening for an Operator. This role completes the daily operation of all facets of the trans-mix plant and product storage areas. Lupton is well established trans-mix production facility that produces millions of gallons of fuel each year.
The Operator role will primarily be focused on:
  • Complete all tasks and responsibilities safely and according to Company standards.
  • Ensure plant, storage area, yard and property are free from hazards.
  • Operate the trans-mix distillation unit ensuring diesel and gas are separated safely and to production expectations.
  • Confirm all pumps and motors are functioning properly and adjust appropriately.
  • Monitor plant computer system to ensure speed, temperature, and that fuel is produced to specifications.
  • Complete product testing processes and documentation to ensure product specifications are reached.
  • Ensure fuel is allocated to the appropriate storage unit and does not exceed fill levels.
  • Monitor external driver's loading and unloading process to ensure it meets Company expectations and safety standards and train and assist as needed.
  • Complete necessary documentation for all incoming and outgoing fuel movements and product produced to ensure inventory levels are accurate.
  • Properly clean any spills to Company standard and report spills to Management.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and able to learn company systems and processes.
  • Strong mathematical and calculation skills.
  • Mechanically oriented and able to complete basic repairs and maintenance.
  • Adheres to the Company's values and ethical expectations.
  • Able to complete and adhere to safety trainings and practices.
