Job Title: HVAC Controls Service Technician

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with HVAC controls or Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC).
  • Working knowledge of Niagara Tridium, Johnson Controls, or Distech control systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies, including how mechanical and electrical components interact.
  • Familiarity with low-voltage wiring, sensors, actuators, and controllers used in building automation.
  • Ability to perform effective troubleshooting on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and low-voltage systems.
  • Experience with software troubleshooting related to BAS or control platforms.
  • Capability to read and interpret control diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Dependable work habits and the ability to work safely and independently in the field.

Job Description

This position seeks a motivated and dependable HVAC Controls Service Technician with at least 2 years of hands-on experience who is ready to grow into advanced roles in building automation, energy management, and smart facility systems. The role focuses on servicing, troubleshooting, and optimizing Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC) for a variety of facilities in the West Michigan area, while working closely with a highly experienced team that supports long-term career development.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
