Our organization provides contract interpretation, dispute resolution, contract risk analysis and counsel to Motorola's various lines of business to achieve margin, revenue and cash collection goals.
Job Description

The Post-Award Sr. Commercial Contracts Manager is responsible for post-award contract management within a highly technical environment associated with Land Mobile Radio (LMR), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) contracting. This role ensures the successful completion of contract implementation and maintenance phases in accordance with the terms of each agreement.

The role requires strong proficiency in contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and negotiation, along with the ability to deliver strategic and tactical recommendations that achieve favorable outcomes. The Contracts Manager serves as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and support organizations, communicating contract interpretations with sound reasoning and clear, persuasive recommendations. The role also oversees Change Order Management through an electronic contract management system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze complex contractual requirements, special provisions, and terms and conditions to provide interpretations and recommendations that resolve disputes and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

  • Develop negotiation objectives and strategies to resolve disputes, changed terms and conditions, and other requirements, including Statements of Work.

  • Oversee Change Order Management using an electronic contract management system.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, delivering clear contract interpretations and well-reasoned recommendations.

  • Manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities effectively.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders to support contract implementation and maintenance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree is required. MBA is preferred.

  • Extensive system integrator experience supporting LMR, SaaS, and HaaS contracting.

  • Advanced skill in contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and negotiation.

  • Demonstrated Change Order Management expertise.

  • Experience working in a highly technical environment.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong ability to collaborate within a team and with internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.

Target Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
