DHI Communities is a multifamily development division of D.R. Horton, Inc.
DHI Communities is currently looking for a Build To Rent - Disposition Analyst. The right candidate will participate in the monetization of Build-To-Rent (BTR) investments and provide analytical support and assistance to the Managing Director and Director of Dispositions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Participate in the development of disposition strategies for BTR investments
  • Determine optimal sell timing to maximize value and accurately forecast quarterly sales goals
  • Review broker opinion of values to ensure accuracy of the pro forma and projected valuation for BTR investments prior to a marketing launch
  • Present well-supported arguments for or against specific investment opportunities
  • Participate in the disposition process including broker selection, integrity/accuracy of offering materials, marketing process and closing
  • Assist in gathering and reviewing due diligence materials in the data room that is shared with potential buyers during the due-diligence process
  • Maintain a disposition summary and monthly dashboard for all BTR projects including name, division, location, projected valuation and sale timing for internal forecasting and reporting
  • Maintain a disposition tracker showing launch date, broker, expected offer date and closing date for all BTR dispositions
  • Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Analyze the overall market and monitor industry trends to identify or what will impact dispositions
  • Ability to travel overnight

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Economics or related field
  • 1 to 3 years of commercial real estate, private equity, or investment banking
  • Knowledge of advanced Excel financial modeling, formulas and functions including pivot tables, and conditional formatting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to summarize conclusions
  • Ability to deliver effective and engaging presentations to a variety of audiences
  • Highly organized and able to focus under pressure while balancing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Goal oriented, self-starter that takes initiative to effect change with continuous improvement in multifamily underwriting process
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in real estate disposition and single-family rental investments is a plus
