Job description

Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC, a Lumber and Building materials employer is seeking a full-time Dispatch Shipping Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Confer with customers and/or sales staff to determine desired delivery times; create delivery schedule to assist drivers and material handling staff in planning work activities
  • Maintain record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made and other delivery-related expenses
  • Respond to customer complaints/questions regarding deliveries; expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed or damaged merchandise
  • Communicate with drivers and managers to ensure adherence to preventative vehicle maintenance policies and practices
  • Adhere to all OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
  • Meet or exceed company safety standards
  • Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers at all times
  • All other duties as assigned

Experience Required:
  • 2-5 years of dispatch experience
  • 2-5 years of customer service experience
  • 2-5 years of experience working with DOT rules and regulations
  • Valid CDL A License preferred
  • Forklift and Moffett experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Efficient and effective problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Class 8 trucks and forklifts
  • Knowledge of DOT or other requirements regulating work activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
