We are seeking a reliable and detailed-focused Shuttle Driver Dispatcher to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely operation of shuttle services. This position serves as the central point of coordination between drivers, routes, and schedules, helping maintain smooth daily operations while delivering a positive experience for passengers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
The Dispatcher oversees and coordinates daily shuttle bus operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services. This role monitors vehicle availability, communicates with drivers and internal teams, manages service levels based on passenger volume, and ensures all documentation and reporting are completed accurately. The Dispatcher plays a crucial role in maintaining on-time performance, service quality, and customer satisfaction while supporting drivers and operational staff.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide real-time oversight of shuttle bus operations using dispatch software, reports, and two-way radio communication.
  • Monitor vehicle availability, driver staffing levels, and route coverage to maintain required service frequencies.
  • Accurately predict shuttle movement and arrival times using provided tools and operational data.
  • Adjust service levels based on passenger volumes, peak periods, and operational needs.
  • Coordinate with drivers to ensure adherence to schedules, routes, and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance, customer service, supervisors, and management to support daily operational goals.
  • Notify the maintenance department of mechanical issues, breakdowns, or vehicles requiring immediate attention.
  • Provide direction and guidance to drivers in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in resolving customer escalations and service disruptions.
  • Create daily operations reports and maintain accurate, organized records of bus movement, incidents, staffing, and service performance.
  • Track and document service delays, operational challenges, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, client, and regulatory requirements.
  • Operate shuttle vehicles as needed to support service continuity, cover staffing shortages, or reposition fleet vehicles.
  • Conduct basic vehicle checks to ensure safety and readiness prior to driving.
  • Assist drivers during peak times, special events, or emergency situations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
    • 1+ years of Shuttle, taxi or commercial Vehicle Dispatching experience, preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of dispatch functions, route scheduling, or fleet operations preferred.
    • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and operational reporting tools.
    • Ability to use communication and operational devices such as two-way radios, printers, tablets, telephones, digital cameras, and desktop computers.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions.
    • Working knowledge of ADA transportation requirements (Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and amendments).
    • Ability to work independently, make decisions quickly, and proactively solve problems.
    • A team-oriented, enthusiastic attitude with high integrity and commitment to excellent service.
  • REQUIREMENTS:
    • Over 21 years old
    • Minimum two (2) years of recent transportation experience, ideally in a shuttle, bus, or passenger movement operation.
    • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (required for operational driving duties).
    • Must successfully pass a background check, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying eligibility, as required by the Department of Homeland Security. Reimagined Parking participates in the E‑Verify program to confirm employment eligibility.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while monitoring operations.
    • Occasional bending, lifting, or moving supplies or equipment up to 25-40 lbs.
    • Ability to walk across parking facilities, garages, and operational sites as needed.
    • Ability to safely drive and maneuver shuttle vehicles.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS:
    • Fast-paced operational setting within parking facilities, shuttle operating areas, and dispatch centers.
    • Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) depending on location.
    • Constant radio communication and multitasking in a dynamic transportation environment.
    • May require working evenings, weekends, holidays, or rotating schedules to support 24/7 operations.
