Description
FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a CDL Driver (Yard Switcher) to support warehouse and logistics operations by safely transporting trailers throughout company facilities and off-site warehouse locations. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Warehouse Department in a production/warehouse environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing.
The CDL Driver (Yard Switcher) will coordinate trailer movements, support shipping and receiving operations, and ensure compliance with safety and transportation regulations while assisting this Warehouse Department as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Safely move trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and designated yard locations
  • Transport trailers between company facilities and off-site warehouse locations as required
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of trailer locations, movements, and yard inventory
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel, dispatch teams, and drivers to support efficient operational flow
  • Ensure trailers are properly secured and positioned for loading and unloading activities
  • Operate yard tractors, tractor-trailers, and related equipment in a safe and professional manner
  • Monitor yard conditions and maintain organized trailer placement to maximize efficiency and safety
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by ensuring timely trailer availability
  • Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and transportation safety procedures
  • Maintain compliance with vehicle inspection requirements and documentation standards
  • Respond promptly to changing operational priorities and transportation needs
  • Assist with inventory and logistics activities as needed to support warehouse operations
  • Promote a safe work environment by identifying and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of yard switching, shuttle driving, tractor-trailer driving, or related experience required
  • Clean driving record with the ability to pass DOT drug screening and background check
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety procedures
  • Experience operating yard tractors and tractor-trailers in warehouse or manufacturing environments preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, dispatch teams, and drivers
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, and enter/exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties as required
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime as needed to support operational requirements
