Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage transportation and facility operations.
  • Review property damage claims with department managers and approve contractor charge backs.
  • Work with Senior transportation and safety management to investigate accidents and liability risks.
  • Ensure routes and deliveries are accurately executed and management is engaged.
  • Oversee regions Transportation staffing needs- including hiring, terminations, and contractor count to manage market volume.
  • Review route and linehaul assignment
  • Conduct performance reviews and coaching for location staff including Sr Transportation managers, delivery admin managers, facility management and transportation clerks.
  • Ensure safety processes and procedures are met or exceeded by inspecting equipment, logs, DVIR’s, and Hours of service records.
  • Ability to inspire and recruit team members, providing training as needed.
  • Manage and monitor performance metrics- including survey, HOS and safety scores.
  • Work with all levels of management to build a positive work environment and improve team morale.
  • Work with executive leadership to ensure region goals are met.
  • Fluent knowledge in how to navigate in Dispatch Track from start to finish.


What we require:

  • Minimum 6 years of logistics/facility management experience.
  • Expertise in logistics management procedures and best practices.
  • Microsoft suite experience, moderate excel.
  • Strong problem solving and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of DOT laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work flex schedule and be on call as needed.
