The MIH team consists of experienced industry-leading professionals, focused on logistical, energy and cost-effective solutions to our clients.
Role: Dispatcher
MIH is hiring an HVAC dispatcher who will coordinate and schedule service calls, installations, and maintenance tasks for HVAC technicians. You will communicate with customers to understand issues, provide updates, and address concerns, while maintaining detailed records in dispatching software. This is a great role for someone with strong customer service and organizational skills. You'll work alongside our team in our Canton, MA office and support technicians from the region.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and schedule HVAC technicians for service calls, installations, and maintenance tasks.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their HVAC issues, schedule appointments, and provide updates on service status.
  • Maintain constant communication with HVAC technicians in the field via phone or dispatch software.
  • Keep detailed records of service calls, customer interactions, job status, and technician assignments.
  • Update the company's dispatching software or system with accurate and timely information.
  • Work closely with the inventory and procurement team to ensure technicians have necessary parts and equipment.
  • Partner with sales and service departments to align on job priorities and customer needs.
  • Handle unexpected issues such as emergency service requests, technician delays, or equipment breakdowns by adjusting schedules and reassigning tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns promptly and professionally.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in dispatching, customer service, or a related role, ideally within the HVAC or a similar industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers, technicians, and other team members.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Estimated Salary: $25 - $30 hourly, based on experience and skills, plus benefits.
