Position Summary
The Assistant Dispatch Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the dispatch team by coordinating efficient driver routing, ensuring on-time delivery, and assisting with resolving delivery-related issues. This role helps drive customer satisfaction and operational efficiency while supporting the Dispatch Manager in supervising dispatch personnel and maintaining compliance with transportation policies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and overseeing daily driver dispatch operations
  • Monitor driver schedules and adjust routes as needed to optimize efficiency and on-time delivery
  • Communicate with drivers, warehouse teams, and sales staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and issue resolution
  • Support driver training and compliance with company policies and DOT regulations
  • Help track and report on route performance, delays, and exceptions
  • Provide coverage and decision-making support in the Dispatch Manager's absence
  • Collaborate with Logistics and Operations teams to maintain accurate and efficient transfer routing between branches
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
