Security Officer Dispatch - Hospital

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, and urgent situations to appropriate personnel using dispatch and communication systems.
  • Monitor radios, phones, cameras, access control systems, and other security-related equipment; document incidents, requests, and dispatch activity accurately.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating communication with healthcare staff, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter as needed; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
