Job description

About The Driver Provider

Founded in 1997, The Driver Provider is a premier provider of chauffeured transportation services for individual, corporate and event clients. Our operations team manages complex transportation needs across multiple markets while maintaining the high level of service our clients expect.

As we continue to grow, we are strengthening our operational leadership team and looking for people who want to help build what comes next.

Position Summary

The Driver Provider is seeking a Dispatch Manager to provide hands-on leadership to our Phoenix dispatch team and help drive consistent, accountable and high-performing daily operations.

This is not a desk-only management position. The Dispatch Manager will work alongside the team, maintain strong awareness of daily operations and step in when circumstances require quick, sound decisions. At the same time, this role is responsible for developing dispatchers, setting clear expectations and creating the consistency and accountability necessary for the team to succeed.

The right person understands that strong dispatch leadership is both operational and people-focused. You should be comfortable making decisions in real time, coaching employees directly and constructively and taking ownership when something needs attention.

What You'll Do
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the dispatch team
  • Maintain visibility into active and upcoming operations and ensure appropriate coverage throughout the day
  • Monitor dispatch performance, workload and service execution
  • Coach, train and develop dispatchers to strengthen individual and team performance
  • Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance, communication and professional conduct
  • Address performance or operational concerns promptly rather than allowing issues to continue unresolved
  • Support dispatchers with complex operational decisions and escalated situations
  • Coordinate chauffeur and vehicle resources to meet changing operational demands
  • Anticipate potential service disruptions and work proactively to resolve them
  • Partner closely with Chauffeur Management, Client Services, Safety & Compliance and other departments to support successful operations
  • Review operational data and reporting to identify trends, performance concerns and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure operational issues and significant incidents are appropriately documented and escalated
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training and performance management for dispatch team members
  • Identify opportunities to improve dispatch processes, communication and efficiency
  • Model calm, professional and solutions-focused leadership, particularly during high-volume or challenging situations
What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines strong operational instincts with genuine leadership ability.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Previous experience in dispatch, transportation, logistics or another fast-paced operational environment
  • Previous supervisory or management experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and hold employees accountable
  • Strong judgment and confidence making time-sensitive decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize effectively when multiple issues require attention simultaneously
  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
  • Comfort using data and operational reporting to evaluate performance and make decisions
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Strong sense of ownership and follow-through
  • Comfort working across multiple technology platforms
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including weekends and holidays when required

Experience in chauffeured transportation, passenger transportation, hospitality or other service-driven operations is a plus.

The Leadership Opportunity

We believe strong managers do more than keep the operation moving. They create clarity for their teams, develop capable employees, address problems early and build an environment where people know what is expected of them.

The Dispatch Manager will have the opportunity to help shape how our dispatch operation works as we continue strengthening our leadership structure and preparing for future growth.

We are looking for someone who sees an opportunity to make something better and is willing to take ownership of making it happen.

Compensation & Benefits

The Driver Provider offers competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications, along with:

  • Medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid training
  • Opportunities for professional development and advancement
Join Our Team

If you are an experienced operations professional who enjoys solving problems, developing people and taking ownership in a fast-moving environment, we would like to meet you.
