Job description


Crossroads Courier is looking for a Dispatcher to help us manage job orders for our independent driver contractors. In this vital role, you'll be the heartbeat of our operations, ensuring timely service delivery while maintaining our commitment to customers.
Pay:
  • $22-24/hr
  • Biweekly Pay

Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday
  • 8AM to 5PM or 9AM to 6PM as needed
  • Overtime required

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service via phone and email to both internal and external clients.
  • Efficiently dispatch job orders to independent drivers, preparing and assigning tasks based on priority and resources.
  • Communicate special delivery instructions and assist drivers with routing and inquiries.
  • Manage job order details, including ancillary charges, ensuring accuracy in our systems.
  • Coordinate driver activation and deactivation and post routes in the dispatching software.
  • Collaborate with the Driver Support staff and Operations Manager to address any issues.
  • Input order details with precision and perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements:
  • Experience - High school diploma or GED, with at least 2 years in customer service or logistics-dispatching experience is preferred but not a requirement
  • Skills - Strong organizational and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail - Ability to deliver accurate and thorough work consistently.
  • Tech-Savvy - Proficient in Microsoft Office and dispatching/scheduling software.
  • Flexibility - Willingness to work overtime and adapt to a flexible schedule.
