Transportation Coordinator
Support transportation operations, freight planning, carrier management, dispatch activities, and shipment tracking to support our transportation network moving efficiently.
Factory Location: Breinigsville, PA (ALP - West)
Compensation: $32.00
Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities
Docking support for all accounts managed, to include manually docking pickups in TMS, supporting carrier training with how to dock in TMS, and key escalation contact for pick up issues with warehouse and 3pl carriers
Weekend support for dispatch, customer service, and OS&D, to include load coverage as needed, track and track, and 3pl carrier issue escalation
Follow up on late loads and provide the appropriate warehouse with the carrier's new ETA.
Coordinate and manage daily freight movements, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods across multiple modes (truckload, LTL, intermodal).
Monitor and optimize load planning and routing using transportation management systems (TMS) to maximize efficiency and reduce empty miles.
Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal stakeholders to resolve delays, disruptions, or exceptions in real-time.
Analyze transportation data and KPIs to identify trends, improve service levels, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain and update the after-hours carrier contact phone & e-mail list.
All other duties as assigned.
This role may require additional hours as needed to meet business and operational demands
Qualifications
High school diploma required
College Degree preferred
Prefer 1-2 years of work experience in logistics/transportation operations.
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Proficient in Excel
SAP and TMS experience preferred
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, planning, and organizing skills
Ability to communicate with internal and external team members
Candidates must possess strong English language skills to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional service. Proficiency in English is essential for understanding customer needs, resolving inquiries, and collaborating with team members.
