About the Role

FreezPak Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Fleet Dispatcher to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the movement of freight, communicating with drivers, customers, and operations personnel, and ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. This role plays a critical part in maintaining daily transportation operations by managing schedules, resolving logistical issues, providing real-time updates, and supporting overall operational efficiency. The Logistics Dispatcher will also perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor.

What You’ll Do

  1. Schedule Coordination:
    • Plan and schedule the daily routes for drivers to maximize efficiency and meet customer requirements.
    • Adjust schedules as needed in response to changing priorities, weather conditions, or unforeseen delays.
  2. Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers and customers during transit.
    • Provide accurate and timely updates on shipment statuses.
  3. Tracking and Monitoring:
    • Use GPS and other tracking tools to monitor vehicle locations and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
    • Address and resolve delivery-related issues promptly.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of driver logs, delivery times, and incident reports.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on logistics performance.
  5. Problem-Solving:
    • Address logistical challenges, including delays, traffic issues, or mechanical failures.
    • Coordinate with maintenance teams for vehicle repairs and with warehouses for shipment adjustments.
  6. Compliance:
    • Ensure all dispatch activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and government regulations.
    • Verify that drivers adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and other legal requirements.
  7. Customer Service:
    • Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism.
    • Work to improve customer satisfaction through efficient service delivery.

What You Bring to the Pak

  • Experience: Prior experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation is highly desirable.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
