What You Will Do
  • Dispatch and schedule both CDL and non-CDL drivers.
  • Communicate with customers regarding deliveries, special handling requests, and service-related issues.
  • Analyze routes, review driver logs, and maintain accurate records.
  • Resolve delivery issues through regular communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Print and distribute daily manifests.
  • Direct the movement and positioning of trucks and trailers within the yard.
  • Assess truck capacity and identify alternative delivery solutions when needed.
  • Coordinate vehicle repairs and communicate equipment-related issues.
  • Provide detailed shift handoff reports to ensure seamless transition between teams.
  • Escalate driver concerns or performance issues to leadership as appropriate.
  • Partner with the operations team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during the shift.
  • Review orders and routes proactively to identify and correct potential problems.
