Dispatch Specialist โ€“ TCS Division
Location: Indianapolis IN ย Schedule: Full-Time

At TCS Transportation, we are seeking a Dispatch Specialist to coordinate timely, compassionate, and efficient transportation services. This role requires excellent customer service, friendly communication, and the ability to respond with empathy and composure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all trips are assigned on time with no missed or late service.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules in real-time to maintain efficiency and reliability.
  • Assign return (leg 2) trips strategically based on proximity and timing.
  • Collaborate closely with drivers and the Trip Assignment team to resolve disruptions.
  • Meet trip-per-hour targets (Urban Ambulatory: 2/hr; Wheelchair/Rural/Long Distance: 1/hr).
  • Maintain an average dispatch time of 5 minutes or less for return trips.
  • Use dispatch systems and mobile tools accurately to support daily operations.
  • Contribute to team meetings with updates and practical solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and solve problems quickly.
  • Empathetic and respectful approach to all team members and clients.
  • Comfortable using transportation software and mobile navigation tools.
