Job description

CORE Industrial Services LP is a non-union, heavy equipment, industrial construction and maintenance company scalable to larger project size and scope. It is a part of the SECON Group of Companies. Position

The Mine Dispatch Coordinator will coordinate underground mining, maintenance, logistics, safety and production activities from the Underground Control Centre.


This position will be based on a 7on / 7 off rotating day and night shift schedule, working 12 hour shifts.

This position will be located at BHP Mine Site - Jansen, SK


This is a camp-based position. Discovery Lodge at BHP is a state-of-the-art camp that includes the following: full-service cafeteria, housekeeping, gym with a raised running track, library and theatre.


Job Duties

  • Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
  • Dispatch equipment and personnel to support production priorities and changing operational conditions
  • Coordinate equipment locations and allocation to support underground operations
  • Act as the central communication contact for mine production, maintenance and safety activities
  • Monitor and coordinate daily mining activities to support execution of the shift plan
  • Communicate with shaft crews regarding lowering activities and egress interruptions
  • Escalate safety concerns and operational risks as required
  • Monitor ventilation conditions and report deviations as required
  • Communicate active delays, equipment constraints, and safety concerns


Qualifications

The successful candidate will have;

  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective self-managing, good problem-solving skills, planning, organizing and priority setting skills combined with a strong work ethic
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be open and flexible to change, take initiative and be a team player
  • Computer knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
  • Pre-employment medical exam and drug test will be required.
