JOB SUMMARY


The Walt Disney Studios Content Security organization is chartered with the securing and protection of all creative content throughout the production lifecycle. We do this by relying on deep technical expertise, strong and authentic partnerships and leveraging knowledge and best practices of the world of cybersecurity, technology and production. The Content Security organization is a part of the broader Studio Technology organization, reporting into the Studio’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

The Content Security Program Manager reports into the Director of Content Security Engineering and is a Monday to Thursday in the office in-person role based in Glendale, CA. Fridays are remote.

This technical program manager will partner directly with assessment and engineering teams responsible for secure design and integration across cloud platforms, application tools, and AI technologies. You will drive cross-functional programs that enable secure collaboration, ensuring that security principles are embedded throughout the creative and technical pipeline. This role requires strong project and program management skills with technical acumen, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable plans.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Develop and coordinate a strong program with consideration of the needs of stakeholders and the capabilities and resource availability of the team.
  • Technical Partnership: Serve as a liaison, guiding partners through the process of having our subject matter experts advise on secure design, architectural reviews, and technical assessments for custom and vendor-supplied tools.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships within Content Security, across Studio Technology, and business stakeholders to align security initiatives with studio goals and creative workflows.
  • Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement, identifying bottlenecks in security workflows, and automating common use cases.
  • Assessment & Metrics: Develop and maintain dashboards with KPIs to monitor program effectiveness, stakeholder response, and operational metrics. Present program health reports and actionable insights to leadership.
  • Emerging Technology: Stay ahead of trends in AI, cloud security, and content pipeline tooling
  • Problem Solving: Lead solutioning for challenges, eliminate roadblocks, and ensure timely delivery of security initiatives.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent years of experience
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in technical program management
  • Must have technical knowledge of cybersecurity and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Proven success leading cross-functional programs and interfacing with engineering teams to implement and optimize security tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting technical concepts to executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Entertainment/media industry experience preferred
  • PMP or equivalent security certifications preferred
  • Experience with technical tools such as Smartsheet, Tableau, Power BI, and common media production platforms (Adobe, Davinci, Aspera etc..).

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA, is $134,000 to $149,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.About The Walt Disney Studios:
