THIS POSITION IS ON THE OXFORD COLLEGE OF EMORY UNIVERSITY CAMPUS, 36 MILES EAST OF ATLANTA.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The Multimedia Coordinator will develop, manage, and distribute multimedia content that enhances Oxford College's reputation and supports its strategic goals.
- This position will oversee the creation of high-quality video, photography, graphic design, and digital content for use across web, social media, and print platforms, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with the College's mission.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Production
- Video Production: Plans, storyboards, shoots, edits, and produces compelling video content, including student and faculty stories, campus highlights, and promotional materials.
- Photography: Captures professional-quality photos for events, marketing campaigns, and publications. Edit and archive photos for future use.
- Graphic Design: Assists with designing creative assets, such as social media graphics, video graphics, and web visuals, that align with the College's branding and messaging.
- Motion Graphics & Animation: Develops motion graphics and animations to enhance digital storytelling.
Content Management & Distribution
- Digital Strategy: Collaborates with the marketing team to tailor multimedia content for specific platforms, including the website, social media, and email campaigns.
- Asset Management: Maintains an organized digital library of photos, videos, and design files for easy access and reuse.
- Digital Signage: Manages campus digital screens; creates content and works with campus partners to collect content.
- Platform Optimization: Adapts multimedia content to meet specifications and optimize performance for web and social media platforms.
Collaboration & Innovation
- Cross-Department Coordination: Partners with departments such as Admissions, Alumni Advancement, and Campus Life to create content that supports their goals and aligns with the College's overarching strategy.
- Brand Advocacy: Ensures all multimedia content adheres to Oxford College and Emory University brand guidelines.
- Creative Innovation: Stays informed about trends in multimedia production, storytelling, and technology to introduce fresh, innovative approaches to content creation.
- Event Support: Provides multimedia support for campus events, including capturing and photography.
- Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree in multimedia design, communications, marketing, or related field, and three years of professional experience in multimedia production or content creation, preferably in higher education or a nonprofit environment, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects) and graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong photography and videography skills, including knowledge of lighting and sound equipment. Familiarity with animation and motion graphics software (e.g., After Effects).
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
