Position: Full-Time

Shift: Daytime/Afternoon

For over 60 years, Calvary Healing Center has provided a full continuum of care, specializing in addiction treatment for adults across the Phoenix area and Nationwide.  Calvary’s proven treatment programs address the practical, physical, and spiritual aspects of addiction for lasting recovery. Our flagship location in Phoenix offers onsite detoxification and in-patient treatment programs, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). We also have a satellite clinic offering Intensive Outpatient Programs in the West Valley region and Metropolitan Phoenix.  Through our programs we offer many other holistic healing and treatment options complementing our services ranging from yoga, art workshops, and music.

Summary of Duties

The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and productions sheets. The Cook will also assist with preparing the salad bar, maintaining an adequate supply of beverages, assisting in the preparation and delivery of patient meals and room supplies, operating the dish machine, and assisting the Executive Chef and other Cooks as required.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Must have at least two (2) years experience in quantity cooking, a basic knowledge of modified diets
  • Training in food service sanitation and possession of food service sanitation certification as required;
  • Experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; 
  • Prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful. 
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card 
  • Completion of BLS & First Aid Certification, within 30 days of employment. 
  • Completion of Handle With Care, within 30 days of employment
