Purpose
This role supports the Hudsonville Site by providing centralized discipleship support, overseeing baptism coordination and membership processes, and implementing key discipleship events and initiatives. It ensures effective execution of ministry systems and experiences that support the formation of transformed followers of Jesus.


Job Responsibilities

Baptism Coordination & Volunteer Leadership

  • Ensure a clear, meaningful, and well-executed baptism experience while building and leading a healthy volunteer team
  • Own the baptism and membership process (excluding pastoral approval) for all Hudsonville participants
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals and lay leaders within the baptism team
  • Oversee all baptism service logistics for Hudsonville site, including supplies, layout, week of communication, and execution
  • Lead volunteer recruitment, training, support, appreciation, and follow-up for the baptism volunteers

Discipleship Ministry Support & Operations

  • Provide operational and logistical support to strengthen the effectiveness of the overall discipleship ministry
  • Manages the operational details of the discipleship ministry such as Planning Center Online (PCO), calendar events, registrations, and incoming questions and requests
  • Serves as a central communication point, disseminating discipleship plans and key details to campus teams in a clear and timely manner
  • Leads coordination for major discipleship initiatives and events across campuses, ensuring each location is equipped and prepared
  • Acts as an additional point of contact for individuals navigating complex discipleship situations, offering care and direction alongside pastoral staff
  • Coordinates and deploys volunteers for ministry events and initiatives
  • Oversees the administrative process for individuals taking their next step in discipleship, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience
  • Assist the discipleship team with key administrative and ministry needs as assigned
