Job description


Performs regular administration and conducts standard performance trend analyses and manages server capacity. Performs system configurations and backups independently. Implements monthly, quarterly, or hotfix patches to address security vulnerabilities or bugs across the technical stack. Deploys enhancements to improve the performance, reliability, and security of systems and environments. Resolves complex, critical customer system issues and implements and documents technical solutions. Implements disaster recovery solutions.

System Installation &Configuration - Software Administration:
- Monitors andmaintains operating systems to ensure effective installation and performance.
- Administersmiddleware products in environments.
- Supports the deployment,maintenance, and operation of internal applications as needed.
- Performsregular administration and conducts standard performance trend analyses andmanages server capacity to ensure service performance meets standards.
- Leveragesworking knowledge of application monitoring tools to ensure efficiency.
System Installation &Configuration - Installation and Configuration:
- Installs andconfigures servers, cloud infrastructure, and all software and environments.
- Performs systemconfigurations and backups independently to ensure optimization of serverinfrastructure.
- Supportshardware maintenance, auditing, installation, and provisioning as necessary.

Incident Management &Support - Incident Management:
- Supports theend-to-end incident management lifecycle to ensure systems are stable, secure,and performing accurately.
- Collatesincident-based data for team metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) byassisting with system and network incidents to identify patterns, root causes,and solutions.
- Participates inincident review meetings to provide feedback for operational performance andsolution implementation.
- Partners withthird party vendors and cross-functional teams (e.g., Development, CloudEngineering, Product Engineering, other IT teams) to drive collaboration forimplementation and/or resolution for high-severity incidents, risks, ormigrations.
- Investigatesstandard system issues and triages high-severity incidents by implementingCorrective and Preventative Action plans (CAPA) as instructed.
Incident Management &Support - Escalation Cases:
- Coordinatesescalated support cases by collaborating with internal technical teams andthird party vendors to drive issue resolution for a wide range of productionenvironment problems (e.g., immense growth, scaling, leveraging the cloud,extremely high performance, high availability requirements).
Incident Management &Support - Technical Support:
- Proactivelymonitors the production environment by checking system error logs, monitoringticket queues, and consulting with other teams involved in maintaining theenvironments.
- Adheres to teamschedule to contribute to ongoing technical support and service objectives.

Incident Management &Support - Backups and Disaster Recovery:

Communication &Documentation - Technical Communication:

Communication &Documentation - Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintainsdocumentation on ticket updates, code contributions, infrastructure,configurations, processes, and procedures (e.g., Disaster Recovery plans,Standard Operating Procedures, Corrective and Preventative Action Plans).
- Generatesweekly and monthly reports on system performance and incident progress tosupport operational and management outcomes, and builds an awareness of thebusiness impacts.
- Researches,proofs, and authors technical documentation in the area of standards and bestpractices for internal use.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $68,300 to $148,300 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
