Director of Nursing – Emergency RoomLocation: West Palm Beach, FL
Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite
Lead. Inspire. Make an Impact.
We’re seeking an experienced Director of Nursing – Emergency Room to lead clinical and operational services within a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ER nursing leader who is passionate about patient care, team development, quality improvement, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead daily Emergency Department clinical and operational activities

  • Ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective patient care
  • Lead and develop nursing staff and leadership teams
  • Drive quality, patient safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and Joint Commission standards
  • Maintain readiness for surveys, audits, and inspections
  • Lead emergency preparedness and disaster readiness programs
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and service-line initiatives
  • Support Emergency Department growth, performance, and operational improvement
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing teams, and hospital leadership
What We’re Looking For
  • BSN required

  • Active Florida RN license

  • Minimum 2 years of healthcare management experience

  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room/ED experience

  • Strong nursing leadership and team-management skills
  • Knowledge of hospital operations, regulatory compliance, and patient-care standards
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
Required Certifications
  • BLS/CPR – AHA

  • ACLS – AHA

  • PALS – AHA

  • CPI – within 30 days of hire
  • TNCC – within 180 days of hire
  • NIH Stroke Certification – within 60 days of hire
Preferred
  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare, or related field
  • Previous Emergency Department leadership experience
  • Experience with emergency preparedness and disaster management
