PACE Supply's Distribution Center in Stockton, CA is seeking motivated and dependable associates to join our Dock Team in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where your contributions are essential to keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently. This role offers more than just a job it's an opportunity to grow and succeed with a company that values teamwork, accountability, and excellence. Dock Workers are responsible for consolidating freight, building and shrink-wrapping pallets, loading product, operating a stand-up forklift, scanning product using an RF gun, and meeting established productivity and performance standards.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM start time
  • Must be available for daily overtime

Responsibilities
  • Looks up part numbers, quantities, product locations, and customer information on the computer, as appropriate.
  • Receives orders through supervisor from prepared and prioritized work tags.
  • Pulls orders from inventory, manually and/or utilizing forklift.
  • Prepares materials for delivery to and/or pick up by customers. Packs materials in boxes or on pallets (as appropriate), and labels accordingly.
  • Checks filled orders prior to delivery or pick up to ensure accuracy and timeliness of order.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the overall facility to support safety standards, with an emphasis on the area assigned to the work group.
  • Consolidate and build pallets, shrink wrap pallets, load products on to trailers by hand or Stand up forklift.
Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

  • High school diploma or equivalent credential required.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal, written, and reading communication skills.
  • Dedication to delivering excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in time management, consistently meeting responsibilities within designated timeframes.
  • Collaborative mindset, fostering positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external interactions with customers and manufacturers.
  • Basic math skills, including counting and performing computations up to four digits.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including keyboarding.
  • Proficient in English, including reading, writing, and oral communication.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, considering all factors and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Adherence to workplace rules, methods, policies, and procedures.

Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
