Job Description

The Catering Service Worker Lead is responsible for supervision and support in planning meeting & catering services of varying sizes for our client operations, ensuring that all catering brand standards and initiatives are consistently achieved. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. 

This position is located in Downtown Calgary in an office building environment, supporting professionals and office services for all their catering needs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provides excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
  • Receives prepared foods from catering partners, displays prepared food in meeting rooms or designated catering areas following established best practices
  • Brews coffee and displays hot and cold beverages in designated catering areas
  • Maintains food service areas and is available to answer questions about the menu
  • Ensures cleanliness of all kitchens under management, washes and sanitizes dishes
  • Performs light maintenance on coffee machines, including coffee / tea supplies
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets

Additional tasks may include:

  • Monitoring catering software / e-mail inbox and replying to catering inquires
  • Placing catering orders with approved vendors
  • Basic data entry, printing and circulating catering requests to departments
  • Managing inventory par levels, ordering supplies, and supervising vendors
  • Assigns daily tasks and guides vendors on job duties and procedures
Qualifications

 

  • Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings
  • Certified to serve alcohol considered an asset

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
