Job description

Summary
hourly position and can be temporary/seasonal or can continue as regular employment with Frattallone's Hardware & Garden Center come season's end.
The right candidate will have a desire to help people and a passion for our products and a willingness to learn.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Garden Center:
  • Maintain a regular watering schedule
  • Be knowledgeable or willing to learn about various plants, soils, & fertilizers

Customer Service
  • Greeting customers, responding to questions, improving engagement with merchandise and providing outstanding customer service.
  • Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions, and follow all cash register transaction procedure
  • Directing customers to merchandise within the garden center
  • Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the garden center
  • Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers.
  • Cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts.
  • Assist in pricing, stocking, marking and bagging of merchandise.

Garden Center Appearance and Upkeep
  • Keep the garden center, checkout areas, and entrances neat and clean at all times.
  • Assist with keeping products stocked and faced, rotate fresh merchandise
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
