Job description

Meta is building a field-forward Local Partnerships team to deepen Meta's relationships and positive impact in the communities that host our infrastructure. This 0-to-1 team will focus on cultivating meaningful, mutually beneficial partnerships with universities, sports teams, creators, local media, and civic and cultural organizations. We're looking for a Program Manager to lead program design and cross-functional coordination: designing partnership programs that work across all of these partner types, and driving the cross-functional alignment needed to bring them to life. In this role, you will turn strategy into executable programs, coordinate across many teams, and define processes in a newly forming function.
Program Manager, Local Partnerships Responsibilities:
  • Design and manage partnership programs that span multiple partner types (universities, sports, creators, local media, and culture) rather than a single vertical
  • Adapt national programs and initiatives into scalable local activations
  • Serve as the connective tissue between the team's Local Partnerships Leads (based in key communities) and Meta's central partner teams, translating partner capabilities and assets into programs that can be executed locally. Specifically, drive internal alignment across Partnerships, Public Policy, Communications, Marketing, and Economic Development to design, approve, and launch programs
  • Build and maintain the team's operating model, playbooks, and program plans
  • Own strategy and measurements. Define goals, track program impact, and report to leadership on a regular cadence
  • Manage program budgets, timelines, and cross-functional execution end to end
  • Provide central support, data, and coordination to the field team so that Community Leads can stay focused externally

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience designing and running cross-functional programs from concept through execution
  • Experience working across multiple types of partnerships or verticals, rather than a single category
  • Demonstrated experience in driving alignment among cross-functional stakeholders and leaders
  • Excellent program management, organizational, and communication skills, with the experience to prioritize competing work streams based on impact, deadlines, and stakeholder needs
  • Experience operating with ambiguity and building new programs or functions

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with partnerships across one or more of: sports, creators, media/publishers, universities, or culture/music/entertainment
  • Experience with community engagement, public affairs, or data center / infrastructure contexts
  • Experience translating national programs into local execution
  • Master of Business Administration or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
