Schedule: 09:00 AM 05:45 PM (Half day shifts available on special request)

Job Description:

We are seeking talented and passionate individuals who are d/Deaf or hard of hearing, or who use screen readers to navigate websites/games to join our team as Game Testers. As a Game Tester, you will be asked to play games of various genres, styles, and scope. You will contribute to a more accessible gaming industry by providing feedback of your experiences playing games and how game design decisions affect you with your disabilities. Work on a team with other PwDs and trained accessibility Test Leads to provide game developers with accurate, up-to-date accessibility information.

Responsibilities:

Read and Understand test documentation.

Play and test our games across various platforms (PC, Console).

Apply step by step directions to games/software as assigned, assess a pass/fail result, and log results into test tracking databases.

Effectively Communicate and collaborate with other tester to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Identify and report any accessibility issues, whether or not they are deemed to be intentional.

Provide feedback on game features, controls, and overall user experience.

Test games with a focus on your needs and the needs of people with your disabilities.

Collaborate with the development team to help improve game accessibility and inclusivity.

Requirements:

  • Must be d/Deaf or hard of hearing or must use a screen reader as an assistive technology to navigate computers/websites/games
  • Passion for gaming and a good understanding of various gaming genres and platforms.
  • Must be 18 Years Old or Older.
  • Personal experience and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in gaming.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide detailed feedback.
  • Ability to travel on-site to Redmond, WA testing facility.
