Position Title: Employer Engagement & Disability Inclusion Liaison
Business Development Partner - Employer Engagement & Disability
Location: Astoria, NY
Benefit Classification: Full-Time Benefitted

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Employer Engagement & Disability Inclusion Liaison who will be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic relationships with businesses and corporations to create sustainable employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, specifically individuals with Intellectual/Developmental disabilities (I/DD) This role leads employer engagement, drives inclusive hiring initiatives, and ensures successful job placement, retention, and long-term partnership growth.

The Awesome Things You'll Do
1. Corporate Engagement & Business Development
  • Identify, approach, and secure partnerships with Business Corporations, Chambers of Commerce, Industry Associations, and government entities
  • Develop customized engagement strategies to promote inclusive hiring
  • Present the business case for disability inclusion to senior corporate leadership
  • Negotiate MOUs, partnership agreements, and placement targets
  • Representing the organization at industry forums, networking events, and conferences

2. Employer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with HR leaders and talent acquisition teams
  • Conduct regular employer visits and engagement reviews
  • Provide consultation to employers on inclusive workplace practices
  • Support employers in developing disability-inclusive hiring policies

3. Strategic Planning & Program Development
  • Develop annual employer engagement and placement strategy
  • Set measurable placement targets and KPIs
  • Analyze labor market trends and identify high-growth sectors
  • Design scalable placement models in collaboration with mission teams

Activities are subject to change / be added to meet business needs with management approval.
Our Must Haves
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, corporate partnerships, workforce development
  • Experience working in marketing, workforce development, disability inclusion preferred
  • Demonstrated success in employer engagement and developing and growing corporate partnerships
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PPT
  • Compile data, creating charts and graphs for presentations on progress
  • Comfortable with public speaking engagements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to network within corporate HR and industry bodies
  • Understanding of workplace accommodations and assistive technologies
  • Experience in policy advocacy
  • High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity
