Job description

Duties Description The Office of Crime Analysis and Strategic Partnerships (OCASP) is seeking multiple student assistants for the Niagara Intelligence & Crime Analysis Center. The handling of these tasks will help the student gain professional skills while assisting OCASP with special projects. The student assistant in OCASP_NICAC will assist with duties including, but not limited to: Training on report reviews for our 19 partner agencies.

Creating daily intelligence bulletins, pattern bulletins, tracking gun crime, and constructing Gun Violence (GIVE) presentations. Assist in building COMPSTAT briefings for the Niagara Falls Police Department. Significant research on several project requests.

Minimum Qualifications Must be a current student enrolled in a matriculating degree program and have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university. Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate(s) would possess basic crime analysis, writing and research skills, and basic understanding of MS Excel.
