ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:
The Part-Time Administrative Assistant provides support to the Academic Affairs Office through accurate data entry, system maintenance, and administrative assistance. This position plays a key role in maintaining curriculum, course, and instructor data within institutional systems and supporting basic operational processes such as requisitions and purchasing. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, organization, and the ability to follow established procedures and timelines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform textbook adoption entry within designated systems in a timely and accurate manner
  • Enter and maintain curriculum maps as directed
  • Input and update Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) in institutional systems
  • Enter and maintain instructor records in student information systems
  • Provide general data entry support for Academic Affairs initiatives and projects
  • Assist with requisition processing and basic purchasing support as directed
  • Maintain organized records and ensure accuracy of entered data
  • Follow established procedures and timelines to support departmental needs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
KEY COMPETENCIES:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to follow directions and established processes consistently
  • Basic understanding of administrative workflows and data systems
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage repetitive tasks efficiently
  • Professional communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity
EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma required
  • Coursework toward or completion of an associate or bachelor's degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
  • Prior administrative or data entry experience preferred
  • Experience working with databases or systems (e.g., Jenzabar or similar) is a plus
