OverviewEast Penn Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented Editing & Entering Clerk to support the Motive Power team. This position is responsible for reviewing, processing, and entering battery and parts orders into the configurator system, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout the order fulfillment process. The successful candidate will work closely with Customer Service, Traffic, COS, and Assembly departments while maintaining high standards of quality, organization, and customer service.Responsibilities
  • Enter customer orders accurately, including pricing, product information, contractual requirements, and account details.
  • Process and enter Motive Power battery and parts orders into the configurator system.
  • Review customer orders and select the appropriate product options based on customer specifications and requirements.
  • Proofread orders for accuracy and completeness prior to entry.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies, errors, or missing information before processing orders.
  • Review finishing department paperwork, including work orders and shop packets, and reconcile documentation with original customer orders.
  • Verify all completed files and required paperwork are received from the plant.
  • Assemble and organize paperwork to create complete and accurate order files.
  • Prepare files for scanning and maintain accurate electronic and physical records.
  • Set up and maintain new customer accounts.
  • Prepare and process UPS shipments and related shipping documentation.
  • Create and prepare work orders for COS and Assembly departments.
  • Communicate effectively with Customer Service, Traffic, Manufacturing, and other departments regarding order status, specifications, and requirements.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including:
    • Answering phones
    • Filing
    • Faxing
    • Photocopying
    • Scanning
    • Data entry
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper document retention procedures are followed.
  • Produce high-quality work while meeting departmental productivity and quality standards.
  • Maintain regular attendance.*
  • Work mandatory overtime as required.*
  • Follow proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
