Maintenance Technicians starting pay $27.52-$37.52 (pay is based on shift, skills, education, and experience)

1st Shift: 5am-420pm Mon-Thurs

Double time after 50 hours worked in a week!

We provide uniforms, annual boot allowance, and provide necessary Safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Maintenance Technicians employed at Veritas Steel's Eau Claire location are responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery. This includes welding equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery. Maintenance Technicians are also responsible for performing preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure it is running efficiently and to prevent breakdowns.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure equipment is running efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
  • Continuously improve maintenance processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred 3+ years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and machinery
  • Experience with welding equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery
  • Strong Electrical knowledge
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with safety regulations
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions:

  • Noise and dirt level is typical to that of a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 75lbs, and stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to work in conditions with regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, heights, moving equipment, heavy steel, and other possible hazardous conditions
  • Safety Glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots are required; a respirator is required for specific operations
