What You Will Do: In this role, you will handle the physical rooftop setup and cabling, then team up with our remote Engineering department to get the client connected and online.

  • Install & Setup: Safely install and uninstall equipment on client rooftops.

  • Cabling: Run, install, and terminate shielded CAT5/CAT6 and RJ11 cables.

  • Tech Deployment: Mount and physically install Access Points, Phones, Cameras, Routers, and Switches.

  • Troubleshooting: Conduct routine field maintenance and basic physical troubleshooting with remote support and direction from our Engineering department.

  • Safety First: Strictly adhere to safety protocols to ensure the well-being of yourself, your team, and our customers.

What You Need to Succeed (Requirements)Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Prior experience with a Microwave Internet Service Provider preferred.

  • Previous experience with Cox, DirecTV, or satellite installations preferred.

  • Familiarity with cable testing equipment such as Fluke or Ideal testers.

Technical Skills
  • Comfortable using a field laptop to connect to equipment and adjust basic IP settings.

  • Manual dexterity with proficient use of hand and power tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.

Licensing & Background Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Physical Requirements
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

  • Confident working at various heights, including carrying a 32-foot extension ladder and safely navigating single- and multi-story residential and commercial rooftops.

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Visual acuity to distinguish colors and fine details for installation and troubleshooting activities.

Schedule & Travel Requirements
  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends.

  • Availability for occasional evening overtime as needed.

  • Willingness to travel out of town periodically as required.
