Job description

Do you light up when you’re around kids, and do they light up around you? Do you love leading a team as much as you love a good round of applause for a first somersault? The Little Gym of Seekonk is looking for a Gym Director to lead our gym, inspire our team, and help hundreds of local kids build confidence one skill (and one giggle) at a time.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll run the business side of the gym, but you’ll also be on the floor teaching, high-fiving, and cheering kids on every week. If you want a desk job, this isn’t it. If you want a job where "serious fun" is literally the product, keep reading.

Why is The Little Gym a great place to work?
  • Strong sense of fulfillment
  • Keep fit as you work
  • Fun, high-energy work environment
  • Competitive compensation
  • Comprehensive ongoing career training
  • Excellent opportunity for career growth and advancement
Company Overview:
With more than 300 locations across the globe, The Little Gym is the world’s premier enrichment and physical development center for kids 4 months through 12 years. For over four decades, The Little Gym has helped millions of kids experience the thrill of achievement, develop new skills, and find new confidence through a variety of gymnastics-based programs. Parent/Child, Pre-K, and Grade School classes are all taught in a clean, fun, safe, and nurturing environment, which encourages children to develop at their own pace.
As a part of The Little Gym team, you will be part of a family dedicated to the growth and development of children all over the globe.
Job Summary:
The Gym Director is a full-time career-level position, responsible for the overall performance of The Little Gym location. Typically, the Gym Director reports directly to the owners of a specific The Little Gym location.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and inspire the team. Hire, train, coach, and celebrate a crew of instructors and directors. Run weekly team meetings and 1:1s, give in-the-moment feedback, and build a culture people love being part of.
  • Teach! Spend roughly 25–50% of your time in the gym teaching classes and programs. You’ll be trained in our curriculum; you bring the energy and the love of kids.
  • Grow enrollment. Own the member experience from first phone call to first forward roll. Drive introductory visits, conversion, and retention, and partner with the owners on enrollment and revenue goals.
  • Create raving fans. Deliver exceptional customer service, know families by name, resolve concerns with empathy, and schedule intentional "WOW" moments for members.
  • Run a tight ship. Oversee scheduling, payroll and labor costs, facility cleanliness, safety standards, and day-to-day operations so the gym runs smoothly and profitably.
  • Rally the community. Support marketing, social media, member events, and grassroots outreach that make us the place for kids in the area.
Qualifications:
  • Love to have fun and not only smiles easily but finds joy in making others smile.
  • Several years of experience working with kids (teaching, coaching, childcare, education, recreation, or similar) and experience supervising or leading a team.
  • Comfort teaching or excited to learn. A background in gymnastics, physical education, or child development is a big plus, but not required. We provide full training and certification support (CPR/First Aid).
  • Ability to work Saturdays. It’s our biggest day, and our Director is there leading it. Your full-time schedule will include weekday flexibility to balance it out.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate warmly and clearly with parents, kids, and teammates alike.
  • Experience managing a P&L is a plus.
What we offer
  • Competitive salary of $55,000–$75,000 depending on experience.
  • Paid time off and paid holiday closures.
  • Performance bonus potential tied to the gym’s success.
  • Paid training, including The Little Gym’s professional curriculum and leadership development.
  • Real growth: as we expand into Rhode Island, top performers will have the opportunity to grow into regional leadership roles.
