How does a director typically balance strategic planning with day-to-day operational oversight?

Successful Directors maintain open communication with their teams, foster collaboration across departments, and stay adaptable to changes in business priorities. This dual focus allows Directors to drive both immediate results and sustainable growth.

MedVet is excited to continue growing in South Florida with opportunities at MedVet Jupiter. As the nation's premier veterinarian-owned and led organization, MedVet provides doctors with the support of veterinary leadership committed to medical excellence, continuous investment in resources, and a unique opportunity for ownership through our shareholder program. We are seeking a strong Medical Director to help lead and shape the future of our Jupiter hospital.
Why Join MedVet Jupiter:
MedVet Jupiter is a collaborative emergency and multi-specialty hospital dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, outstanding client service, and strong referral partner relationships. Supported by advanced technology, a highly skilled team, and a culture of continuous improvement, MedVet Jupiter offers an environment where doctors can thrive clinically and professionally while helping drive the hospital's continued growth and success.

We know that hospital leadership is pivotal to our success. We leverage a Dyad Leadership Model in which the Medical Director (MD) partners closely with the Hospital Director (HD) to lead the healthcare team. The MD serves as the local medical leader, overseeing all specialty and emergency doctors while fostering a culture that supports engaged and empowered caregivers who embody MedVet's core values of Teamwork, Leadership, and Compassion.
The MD partners with the HD to evaluate, plan, and implement best-in-class healthcare delivery in support of our mission: Leading Specialty Healthcare for Pets. Together, the dyad leadership team provides strategic direction, promotes diversity of thought, and supports both operational and medical excellence.
